Aftercare Instructions

Proper care is the final step to ensuring your finish is great for years to come. Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your coated parts. Whether you’ve chosen Powder Coat or Cerakote® for your long lasting finish, following these simple guidelines will help maintain a durable, long-lasting finish.

Powder Coat Aftercare

Powder coating provides a strong, durable finish—but it still needs the right care to stay looking its best.

  • Avoid acid-based cleaners and harsh chemicals. These can dull the finish, leave marks, or cause residue buildup.

  • Use mild soap and water or a non-abrasive cleaner for regular cleaning. A soft cloth or sponge is best—avoid steel wool or scouring pads.

  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water to prevent any residue or soap film.

  • If needed, you can apply a non-abrasive wax or polish designed for powder-coated surfaces to add shine and protection.

Cerakote® Aftercare

Cerakote® is a high-performance ceramic coating known for its exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. It’s easier to maintain than many traditional finishes.

  • Cerakote® can be cleaned with mild detergents or degreasers—it’s chemically resistant but still benefits from gentle care.

  • Wipe down with a soft cloth or microfiber towel. Avoid using anything abrasive that could scratch the surface.

  • For stubborn spots, isopropyl alcohol or a mild degreaser is safe and effective.

  • No need for waxing or polishing—Cerakote® is engineered to maintain its finish under extreme conditions.
